Two outdated lifting systems in De Doelen Rotterdam have been completely modernized. Safer, future-proof, and seamlessly integrated into existing operations.
Behind the scenes of a concert hall, reliability and safety are paramount. For De Doelen Rotterdam DTS² completed the full modernization of two goods lifts in the stage floors of multiple halls. This was a technically challenging project where old systems were renewed without altering the use of the stage.
The existing drives and controls of the lifts were outdated and no longer met current regulations and safety requirements. This posed risks and made modernization necessary.
DTS² has:
The result is an installation that is fully ready for the future.
What made this project unique was not just the technology, but especially the circumstances:
It was precisely this combination that demanded smart engineering and precise execution.
The modernization was carried out in collaboration with experienced partners:
This collaboration resulted in a reliable and future-proof system.
For the users of the convention center, little has intentionally changed. The lifts still function as before, but have been significantly improved technically:
The biggest gain is therefore behind the scenes: more safety and reliability without impacting daily use.
At DTS², we are proud to modernize existing, older systems and bring them up to today's standards. This project demonstrates that innovation doesn't always mean building something completely new; sometimes, the strength lies in cleverly updating what's already there.
