Behind the scenes at Het Klooster in Nuenen, DTS² has implemented a modern hoisting system that allows theater productions to be set up safely, efficiently, and flexibly. It is a project where technology, ease of use, and reliability come together.
For Het Klooster in Nuenen, DTS² realized a new stage hoisting system that allows the venue to set up theater performances and events easily and safely. The automated chain hoist installation offers flexibility during stage use.
What makes this project unique is that the location is a former monastery converted into a theater. The project stemmed from the need to streamline the daily operations involved in setting up and running productions. Based on a design by Koen Koch Podiumbouwadvies, DTS² supplied and installed the system.
The new installation consists of ten mobile and hoistable trusses. Each truss is controlled by two chain hoists that can be moved across the hall and the stage. The hoisting process is fully automated via a modern PLC control system. The interface is clear and user-friendly, enabling fast and safe operation.
Through close collaboration between our mechanical and electrical engineers at DTS² and Munter , the installation was fully completed in accordance with the EN17206 theater standard.
