Muziekcentrum de Bijloke is starting the renovation of its concert hall and DTS² is one of the parties that can play a role in this.
The Bijloke site in Ghent is a former 13th century hospital that has built a beautiful concert hall.
Together with Denys (our third project together) as architectural contractor and a team of architects (DRDH Architects - Julian Harrap Architects), consultants (ARUP), constructors (ABT) and, of course, the user, this major renovation will be carried out.
The renovation is aimed at further improving the acoustics of the auditorium and renewing the technical installations. For example, the entire hall will be excavated 1.5 meters deep and an internal steel structure will be installed where the new installations will be attached. The beautiful historic private roof is thus exempt from additional taxes.
For DTS², this means that we will provide about 12 self-erecting winches and a movable stage. The winches are designed in collaboration with our partner ASM. Furthermore, the entire installation will be equipped with ASM's Genesis control.
We would like to keep you informed about the progress of this great project.
