DTS² has renovated the theatrical installations in the World Forum in The Hague. The installations supplied by DTS² in 2004 were obsolete and have been upgraded to the current theater standard EN 17206. The special thing about this project is the fact that existing installations had to be modernized instead of installing new techniques.

During this project, DTS² renovated the entire top and bottom machinery. Examples include replacing the powertrains and the complete controls with a Fülling & Partner controller. What is also special is that the power system is based on a 560VDC DC bus. A major advantage is that the stored and generated energy in the system is directly available to all connected machines. This creates an energy efficient and sustainable solution.

Through good cooperation with Rexel, which supplies all elements for control cabinets and cabling, the best achievable end result was achieved. By discussing delivery times and alternatives for products on a weekly basis, a tight project planning was achieved, of course in close consultation with the customer.

The article “Behind the Scenes” in Rexel's Topics Magazine provides a behind-the-scenes look by Commercial Director Eeuwe Vos and Product Manager Leo Blansjaar. Here, everything is explained in detail. This article can be found in the Topics Magazine (2020-8) on pages 36-39, accessible at https://over.rexel.nl/topics-magazine.
